On the occasion of the Radiant Children’s Day, organized in the Outdoors, on May 30 at 4:00 PM, there will be a concert, “Music From Fairy Tales”, performed by the Poznań Fifteen Orchestra.
During a special concert for the youngest, we will hear songs from fairy tales that are very well known to the youngest and those to which parents and grandparents return with affection. The event will be a musical journey connecting generations and making it a family time full of singing, dancing and joyful memories.
Poznań Fifteen Orchestra – reactivated after years, the legendary radio orchestra presenting the achievements of the next generation of artists from Greater Poland. It was the first formation formed in post-war Poznań, operating on such a large scale for over two decades. The line-up consisted of prominent artists such as Jerzy Milian, Jan “Ptaszyn” Wróblewski, Janusz Hojan, Benon Hardy and Wojciech Lechowski. The orchestra was conducted by Zygmunt Mahlik.
The ensemble has been active again since 2017, reactivated by the composer and trumpeter Maciej Fortuna, with the support of the City of Poznań, the Wielkopolska Voivodeship Self-Government, the Municipal Local Resources Board, Poznańska Estrada and the invaluable work of many people, groups, artists and culture enthusiasts.
